Frequently Asked Questions

We know that you have many questions, here are some of the most frequently asked questions. We provide free consultations, so please contact us for more information.

I have been released on Police Bail what do I do?

This is called a Bail Undertaking. We can help! It is important that you stick to any conditions of Bail imposed by the Police and that you attend Court advised by the Police. We recommend you contact us at the earliest opportunity so that we can start preparing your defence.

I have recieved a letter from the Procurator Fiscal, what do I do?

If you have received a citation to attend Court you should contact us immediately. We are here when you need us.

Will I be eligible for Legal Aid?

Legal Aid is means tested but you may well be eligible even if you are working or intending to plead guilty. In every case we would first discuss with you whether you would be likely to be eligible for Legal Aid. If you are not eligible for Legal Aid we will represent you at a competitive rate agreed in advance.

The Police want to speak to me, what do I do?

If the Police want to interview you under caution you have the right to have a Solicitor attend with you. We are available to attend the Police Station with you 24/7. We are registered with the Scottish Legal Aid Board to provide Legal Aid and attend the Police Station with you.

I live outside Edinburgh and it is difficult for me to attend an appointment, what can I do?

We are a modern Law Firm so we are more than happy to consult with you by SKYPE or keep in touch by email or Facebook Messenger
